Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

This ministry assists in distributing Holy Communion either during the Mass or afterwards, such as to homebound persons. EMHCs are assigned in their parishes for Sunday and Holy Day Masses. There are also opportunities to take Holy Communion to the sick and homebound. EMHC's are strongly encouraged to spend time with the Blessed Sacrament during Exposition when possible. Distributing Holy Communion is always a privilege and one that should be treated with reverence.
